May 20, 2006 - In honor of Paul Desautels' retirement, his son and fellow firefighter, Jamie Desautels, threw a surprise retirement bash for his father. Many people came out to celebrate Paul's service, both retired and active members of the department.
Paul, expecting a nice dinner with his family, was met by FF Rob Theve and Engine 1 for a ride to his party. On arrival at our own Juniper Hills Golf Course, his was brought out to the event hall, to see many friends and family there to celebrate his 40+ years of service. The party was fun for all, with presentations from the Chief of the Department, David Durgin; President of Northborough IAFF Local 3057, Pat McManus; and fellow officer of the Northborough Firefighter's Association, Richard Sargent.
